Do You Believe in Duplicate Content Penalty?

Do you really believe in duplicate content penalty enforced by the G Monster?

There are a lot of discussions regarding “duplicate content” and how it can affect your website’s rankings in Search Engines. You can search it for yourself, google “duplicate content myth”.

Google has always said that they aren’t penalizing sites that have duplicate contents in them, if you dig to it deeper, Google actually don’t use the word “penalize”; they have replaced it with “relevant”. If you do observe when you search for some keyphrase in Google, you will be able to see at the bottom that they have only showed pages that is most relevant to the search term!

If you didn’t see your site in the SERPs then it just means that your site is not relevant enough to the keywords being searched.

I have done some tests, and often times duplicate contents do not rank very well in Google’s ranking but they are being INDEXED. If you aim for backlink building, you can use duplicate contents but if you care for your articles to have good rankings then you should use unique contents.

I will discuss about some duplicate content issue in some other time so better check my blog from time to time!

Cheers!
